Description: This course teaches the Fitness Professional the basic training principles and modalities of Kettlebell Training. Covered in this course are the various origins of the Kettlebell, the basic lifts, movements, and progressions that have shown beneficial to the average client. We take the participant through a basic Power-Point based theoretical hour to review motor unit recruitment and mobility patterns based on innertia, acceleration, decelaration and the relationship with activities of daily living. All participants will actively workout using the bells while grouped in teams of three in order to assess each others movements and practice cueing and coaching skills. At the completion of the workshop, all students receive a certificate of CEC completion in Kettlebell Conditioning Expert
Objectives: All students will be able to: Name various recorded origins of the Kettlebell Identify three benefits of Kettlebell Training not found in traditional barbell and dumbbell training Coach a client through the basic moves Design a safe and result producing workout Integrate various forms of resistance with the bells Outline: 9:00 am to 10:00 am History, Benefits, and Anatomy of Kettlebell Training 10:00 am to 12:00 pm The Basic Movements 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm Break 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm, Combining the Basic & Intermediate Movements into a workout 1:30 pm to 3:15 pm Break 3:15 pm to 3:30 pm Combining Advanced Movements into a workout 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm Integrating Kettlebell Movements into traditional routines.
